Esperanza Garcia

Esperanza Garcia is a Global Youth Leader, Environmentalist, and Climate Change Blogger from the Philippines. She was trained as Global Youth Leader at the Youth Assembly UN. She has helped hundreds of Filipino children go to school. She started the ‘Ecodesign and Sustainable Development’ Facebook group, now having 4,000 members. She is Director of Projects in the Philippines and Director of Global Warming &; Climate Change Initiatives for the International Youth Council. She held a workshop at the Youth Assembly at UN 2009 engaging youth to promote their work on Millenium Development Goals. 2009 projects include interning for a UN Ambassador and Society & Diplomatic Review,a UN accredited publication dedicated to the UN and the UN community. She served as a youth journalist for UNICEF's 'Unite for Climate' Campaign. She served as a Climatevoice blogger, set up by Oxfam for Climate Week NYC. She believes that we are the greatest generation who can avert the global crisis.
