"I have been giving climate presentations to audiences young and old for the past three years. Trained by Al Gore in January, 2007 to give his slide show that was the basis for An Inconvenient Truth I have turned my life up-side-down and dedicated my every waking moment to raising awareness and being active in my community.  I have also been involved with my town's City Council Sustainability Committee, 350.org, 1Sky.org, Greenpeace, and others in open public demonstrations and events to raise awareness that what is being proposed by our House, Senate and President are less than what science says is necessary .... and that those are obsolete in view of the accelerating melting of the ice.

I quote Michael Jackson "This is the moment. This is it. This is our only opportunity to save the planet. Make that change. Make that change." For a pop hero to make this the theme of his post-mortum movie about the tour he choreographed to send this message, I am in awe that tens of millions of youth hear that and get it, but our political leaders do not. I am very concerned.

Five years ago, at age 57, I changed my career from Business As Usual, and now work for the CalEPA Air Resources Board. Have made contributions to AB 32 Scoping Plan on curbing emissions from 'Residential Combustion Sector' as well as reducing diesel pollution from buses and ocean vessels (my official assignment).  I believe that we are at a point that non-violent civil disobedient action in massive displays is the only way to get the attention of the national politicians, and working with our local civic leaders is the only effective means to achieve change.
